Our Response:

We would like to comment in support of the above application, applauding the change of use from commercial to residential within the city centre. It is one of the core principles of the Trust that the housing need should be addressed through the adaptive reuse of existing buildings, providing much needed dwellings whilst reducing the associated carbon cost of doing so. The applicants commitment to retaining the external envelope of the historic building is also commendable, and we look forward to seeing this application progress.
