Join us at Trinity College where Anna Clark, historian and OPT’s Engagement Officer, will explore the relationship between the early history of the College and portraits of its Founders, Sir Thomas and Lady Elizabeth Pope. In this illustrated talk at Trinity College, Anna will combine images, archival documents, and the results of dendrochronology carried out in December 2022 to piece together a picture of a fledgling academic community and its supporters. There will also be an opportunity to visit the College’s newly restored dining hall to view several of the portraits in-situ and to hear about Trinity’s recent project to restore their historic estate. The talk will follow in the College’s Garden Room.
