Heyford Meadow

Green Spaces Volunteering - Heyford Meadows

All ages and abilities are welcome.

At Heyford Meadows, our team will be helping keep the paths and boardwalks accessible, preparing the vegetation and ground for spring with lopping, chopping, mowing and raking.

Meet at 9.30am: by the white van (Rod's van who bring all the tools) in the field.

Access to the meadow is though the playground off Broadhurst Gardens (cul-de-sac), or via walking down the green vehicle entrance off Heyford Hill road opposite Pheasant Walk (please note this vehicle entrance is only open for volunteering days and is only to be used by vehicles from OPT and approved contractors).

Cycling: You can walk your bikes into site and lock them up near the white van

Buses: 3A or river Rapids X39 or River Rapids X40 from Oxford High Street

Parking: Free on street parking on Heyford Hill Lane

Please bring your own gardening gloves, hydration, a snack, sturdy shoes/boots, and weather suitable layers. No experience necessary. Tools will be provided. Nearest toilets are in at Sandford Talking Shop (15 min walk).
