Restoring the statues of the nine Muses on the Clarendon Building in Oxford: How can we be sure that we will get it right?

Restoration of the Clarendon Building in Oxford began on 4th July 2022.  John Rolfe has been advising on the restoration of the lead statues of the nine Muses of on top of the building. Two statues were “restored” 1974, but now they have been taken down and will be replaced.  So how can we be sure that the new restoration will be correct? This talk by John Rolfe will present the detective work on which the restoration of the Muses will be based.
