St Luke's Chapel

St Luke's Chapel

Drop-in (last entry 15:30)

St Luke’s Chapel was opened in 1865 and named after the gospel writer St Luke, the patron saint of doctors. It was formerly the Church of the Radcliffe Infirmary. The Chapel is now deconsecrated land and, following a refurbishment in 2010, is now available to hire for a range of events.

The Chapel retains charming features such as its bell tower and pre-Raphaelite stained-glass windows, it’s a venue not to miss!

Friends of the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter

Between 11:00 and 11:30 we are pleased to host the launch of the Friends of the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter. The Friends’ principal objectives are to celebrate the Radcliffe Infirmary’s contribution to Oxford health care over two centuries, the history of the Radcliffe Observatory and to support engagement between the community and the Quarter. The launch is open to the public.
