Mani at screen printing workshop

Aged 18-25? There's a special Open Doors event for you!

Aged 18-25 years old? Lucky you! This year we are excited to feature several new events for Open Doors, especially created by and for young people! You don't want to miss it!

On Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September between 10AM and 3PM, Come along to the 1000 year old Oxford Castle, where Oxford's famous graffiti artist Mani (@bigorangeM) will help you customise your old shirts and tote bags with iconic Oxford stencils like the RadCam and Headington shark. Do something good for the planet and your wardrobe and give your old t-shirts a second chance this Oxford Open Doors!

While you wait for your shirt to dry, try the specially designed Hidden Heritage Graffiti Trail, which takes you around the secret spots in Oxford where you can find graffiti throughout the ages. If you pay close attention, you'll find hidden traces of graffiti, wall carvings, and other hidden gems all around Oxford! Discover the world of 'illegal' graffiti throughout the ages in Oxford, from church pews to street walls! Pick up your copy of the self-guided walk after silk-printing your old t-shirt at Oxford Castle this year!

This event is part of New Wave, a series of innovative youth-led events being produced for this year’s Heritage Open Days festival. New Wave is a project by Heritage Open Days, which is presented by the National Trust and supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
