Oxford Preservation Trust is proud to take care of 1000 acres of land in and around Oxford, including precious water meadows along the Thames and the Cherwell. Our CEO, Anna Eavis, met Barry Sheerman MP, James Wallace, CEO of River Action UK, and members of the Environmental Change Institute to discuss the ecology of our rivers. The event was hosted by Nick Lemiu-Brown, Principal of Linacre College and one of OPT’s trustees. They discussed how we can work together to restore the health and biodiversity of our rivers, and about finding nature-based mitigations to flooding.
