If the thought of getting back to ‘normal’ feels a bit of a let down after all the fun and festivities, take a look at our packed year of interesting talks, inspiring walks and special events and if you love Oxford, its history, green spaces and are interested in its future, why not become a member?
We've been looking after Oxford since 1927, restoring and conserving special buildings and monuments and managing 1,000 acres of green space in and around the city, which we encourage everyone to enjoy. We're serious about building a positive and sustainable city for everyone and are an active voice in planning in Oxford responding to relevant applications, ensuring that any new project or building is improving the public realm of Oxford and is sensitive to the city's identity.
We take time to recognise the contribution that outstanding conservation and new design make to Oxford's character, streets, green spaces and communities at our annual OPT Awards which brings together the councils, the universities and the business community so that we can celebrate and grow together.
Membership is crucial to our work, and in return, we ensure that our members enjoy a special year of events, there's a host of other benefits too - free entry to Oxford Castle and Prison, discounts at the Castle Shop, Café and at our pub, The Victoria Arms in Marston.
